Founded in 1960, The Carleton County Historical Society (CCHS) is dedicated to the protection, promotion and advancement of the heritage of Carleton County.
The Society strives to accomplish this through the practical use of its resources and facilities for education, enjoyment and cultural enrichment by means of:
Permanent and seasonal exhibits on historical themes in its role as a museum;
Presentations and lectures by writers and historians;
Recitals providing cultural and artistic enrichment;
Public and private functions that foster an appreciation for historic landmarks that reconnects us to our past.
The members believe that the organization’s mission and goals are best advanced and realized by being as effective, relevant and useful as possible the people of Carleton County and beyond.
