Rent Connell House for Your Next Special Event
If you are seeking a unique venue to host your special event, the Honourable Charles Connell House has multiple spaces to meet your needs. Especially well-suited for intimate weddings, corporate functions and private parties, the 675-square-foot main parlour and the adjoining 385-square-foot John Lee Room overlook well-groomed gardens through nine large windows. The Main Parlour can accommodate up to 50 guests for a sit-down dinner or 100 guests for a standing reception. The John Lee Room can be rented separately for smaller events or meetings. If you prefer an alternative arrangement to one large room, your cocktail reception can be free-flowing throughout the main floor, allowing your guests to take full advantage of viewing the historic art work while sipping their wine and dining on delicious hors d’oeuvres. The outdoor “L” shaped verandah connected to Connell House can be an extension of your rental space, allowing extra seating, or perhaps just conversation space. Connell House is a licensed facility and has a separate fully stocked Bar that is available upon request at no additional cost.
For your group’s convenience, Connell House is wheelchair accessible, and has a parking lot behind the historic site. On the occasion that you have a large group attending your event, the back parking lot is connected to an upper parking lot by way of a lighted, paved, pathway.
Exclusive experiences await you at Connell House, a Greek Revival styled mansion built in 1839. We offer unique venues to host meetings, receptions, catered dinners, private functions, concerts or trade shows. You may choose to hire your own caterer or we can provide you with a list of caterers. Pot luck dinners are also welcome!
