PRESIDENT’S WELCOME
The Carleton County Historical Society directors and members are pleased to welcome you to our website which has been completely redesigned and updated to provide an enhanced online experience.
Founded in 1960 to help preserve the history of Carleton County, the Society continues to protect and promote local heritage in its roles as a museum, archive and guardian of the Old County Court House, and the Honourable Charles Connell House & Museum.
The CCHS has also evolved into one of the most active and diverse non-profit organizations in New Brunswick. It is now a vital centre for community events, meetings, weddings, receptions, catered parties, art exhibits, lectures on history and literature, book launches, music recitals and more. During the summer tourist season, visitors from near and far are drawn to new and permanent exhibits, popular weekly Victorian High Teas and other events.
Please explore and enjoy the array of resources on this site and contact the Carleton County Historical Society for further information or assistance.
John Thompson,
CCHS President
