The purpose of the Carleton County Historical Society’s Membership Drive is to bring together in close association persons who have a common interest in the history and heritage of Carleton County. Since 1960, the Society has restored the Old Carleton County Courthouse and most recently the Honourable Charles Connell House. Today both properties stand as monuments to our past, and have been designated as Historic Sites by Parks Canada thanks to the commitment and expertise of many dedicated volunteers and/or members of the Society.
Your membership can play a significant role in furthering the future of the Society, and the best part of becoming a member of the Carleton County Historical Society is that you can be involved at whatever level suits your schedule and interests! For instance, we are looking for additional members who might be interested in becoming active in one of our committees or volunteering at one of our socials, or someone who enjoys conducting research to increase our body of knowledge for future generations to come.
Your assistance can make a difference in our Community. The Honourable Charles Connell House is the Society’s headquarters for creating new friendships that foster community pride through committee and volunteer involvement.
