CLARK MCBRIDE COLLECTION

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Clark McBride (1873 – c. 1963) resided in the village of Centreville, County of Carleton, where he was an employee of the local school board and a free lance writer for the weekly newspaper, the “Observer,” of Hartland. His diaries (1899 – 1955) include a variety of information on his personal activities which included some business dealings, and monthly accounts. The diaries also contain comments concerning local events and residents.
