Dr. Walter Oswald Chestnut was born at Sussex on July 17th, 1900, the son of James and Clara (Price) Chestnut. He received his early schooling in his home town, and after graduating from Sussex High School, studied medicine at McGill University, graduating in 1923.
He began practicing medicine at Hartland, New Brunswick, in July of 1924, and continued in that area until he retired. On October 11th, 1935, Walter married Nina Frances Veness, of Canterbury, who was born at Benton on March 29th, 1904.
Dr. Chestnut devoted his life to medicine, and was justly regarded by his colleagues as a brilliant diagnostician. CONTENT:
